In December 2003, CREATE Foundation announced the establishment of a second support organization, the Henry Mize Foundation. Henry’s nephew, Paul “Buzzy” Mize, said it was his uncle’s wish to establish the charitable foundation to provide funding to three organizations his uncle loved: Northeast Mississippi Community College, Mississippi State University, and the United Methodist Church. “By establishing this Foundation, my uncle was certain that these meaningful institutions would continue to receive his support,” said Buzzy.
The Foundation plans to begin its grantmaking in 2005.
